Making sure your online donations are 3D secure
Charity websites are often targeted by people trying fraudulent card numbers, wasting large amounts of money and resources every year.  The 3D Secure tool created by the financial sector reduces the security risk but adds an extra stage to the online donation process, so does this lead to higher drop off rates as donors are put off from donating? Or does the reduced fraud cost counter-act the lost revenue? Through his digital fundraising work at Baigent Digital with Cancer Research UK, Scripture Union, British Red Cross and UNICEF, Martin has addressed the pros and cons of 3D secure in a variety of contexts. In this session, he’ll shed light on the key issues and provide some answers to the questions your organisation may have about 3D secure.
Information Session B
Building a case for investment: Stonewall’s CRM database replacement project
Stonewall, the UK’s lesbian, gay and bisexual equality charity aims to replace its supporter database in order to improves upon the fundraising functionality and reporting of our current fundraising database as well as to allow all Stonewall departments to use the same database for contact management, reporting, workflow and invoice/donation management. It is also important for our long-term growth to integrate all online activity (including email, web and social networking) with the database solution we select. The session will cover the business case for this project and our progress to date.
Information Session C
Integration and Automation of Online Giving
